As a N4 administrator, you will learn how to:
Configure privileges (on page 1)
Configure RTG lanes (on page 1) in the Yard file (RTG sites only) In addition, I think you need to define RTG lanes on the Gate tab in N4. Correct?
Configure Stow Factor (on page 1) in the SPARCS SETTINGS.TXT file
Save live data for a test environment (on page 1) You should create the test data the first time you create AutoStow strategies. Once set, you can continue to use the same test data to develop your strategies.
As a vessel planner, you will learn how to:
Create stow factor filters (on page 1)
Understand AutoStow strategies (on page 1)
Configure AutoStow strategies (on page 1)
Save, export, and import AutoStow strategies (on page 1)
Apply an AutoStow strategy to a vessel (on page 1)
Plan the vessel with AutoStow:
Manually plan containers before using AutoStow (on page 1)
Use AutoStow from a select group of containers (on page 1)
Use AutoStow one work queue at a time (on page 1)
Use AutoStow for the entire ship (on page 1)
Review and evaluate the AutoStow plan. (on page 1)
Manually move containers (on page 1) to improve the plan if there are only a few containers not matching your requirements.
Revert the exports, modify the strategy, and then replan with AutoStow if there are multiple problems.
Once the stow plan is complete, you proceed with the normal loading process at your site. For example, you would likely start work and monitor the work in progress using lists and recaps and then complete the moves to update the N4 system.
When creating and refining AutoStow Strategy sets, it is helpful to work with AutoStow Solution Explorer (on page 1).
For more information on monitoring the work and completing the load process, see the manual Navis N4: Vessel Administrator and User Guide.
